I found this episode to be rather entertaining at times.

Of course, I'm a sucker for a pretty girl.

Everyone is talking about Leckie's girl but Phillip's girl was almost ridiculously hot.

I have to say that the sex scenes were more honest than you usually see in movies.

Well, I don't know about flocking to the forum, but a friend of mine who's been watching the series said to me Saturday "James Badge Dale. Meeooowwrrrr...."

I was just surprised she was watching the show, but now I know why!

About the sex vs violence debate...

I think we're on to something here. People are less likely to kill as the result of TV, but you can't deny the fact that all this sexual exploitation shown on TV (whether it's forced or consensual) has no affect on kids (even adults). Most people don't kill because of what of they see on tv, but you sure can bet a lot of people get their sexual education from movies.

I think there's a point here somewhere, but I just can't eloquently express it.

I can see where both sides have issues.

Personally, I think it’s dangerous to teach kids that sex and/or nudity is a bad thing. I’m not saying that kids should watch that kind of thing, just that if they’re exposed to it they shouldn’t be made to feel that it’s something to be ashamed of or is something bad.

On the other hand, constantly throwing violent images in impressionable kids’ faces can never be a good thing.

Just my opinion...

I can't help out with the children. Mine are already ruined.

But the loss of focus here is just astonishing. Inaccuracies - the gear. Did they use the right gear? Like implants. They didn't have those in WW2. Did they have the right ww2-era wrappers? Fluorescent - a big no no. Were there shapes and curves? They had those back then. These are the standards that must be applied.

WW2 reenactors, what say you?

How about, you burn the crap out of your forearm picking up the .30 cal but later on you hold the barrel in your left hand while you fire it and it's no problem?

3rd degree burns destroy nerves to the point of pain not being felt as acutely as say, a 2nd degree.

I remember reading something about this in a book buy someone from that era but I can't remember which one. The author said back in the old days sex (he used the f word) was what you did when you were getting to know them but fellatio was something you got when you were really intimate. Then he said today it's the reverse.

I thought the sex was a little over the top, I mean did it have to show Leckie thrusting and what not. Could have been a little more subtle. I didn't really mind it though.

I also thought that Phillip's girl was a thousand times hotter than Leckie's. In fact I wish that the sex scene could have been with Phillip's and his girl than Leckie's scene

Anyway, I didn't mind the episode, served as good character development.
